Situated just 90 minutes from Cape Town, in the beautiful Overberg region, is Greyton
and home to the luxurious boutique hotel, The Post House. The Post House has
recently been bought by owners, John and Janet Higginson; an absolute delight, and
are so passionate about the industry and what they do. John continues to work in
property development & investment out of his offices in Cape Town, but has made
Greyton his home for his family. As for Janet, spent many earlier years modelling,
qualified as a pastry chef and brings loads of hospitality experience to the table.

Along with an amazing team, hard work and late nights. The Post House has opened it’s doors with an exceptional
upgrade. Elegantly refurbished rooms, private garden, pool area and lawns, unparalleled service and unique

The Post House was originally constructed in 1860 and is one of Greyton’s oldest buildings. The building was used
as a trading post and a place of lodgings for tired travellers. The main building which houses the eatery and new
coffee pod, also includes the pub, which is well-known for the Bells Whiskey advert. This area was also Greyton’s
Post Office. Enjoy true luxury in one of our guest rooms and suites, designed to reflect Greyton’s colourful charm and
tranquillity. Guest are able to relax and unwind at The Post House accommodation that is equipped with all the
amenities to ensure an experience of absolute comfort. Our rooms are sold inclusive of breakfast, however each room
has a station set up with prepped tea and coffee tray, kettle, toaster, mini bar and basic cutlery and crockery for guests wanting to prepare snacks during the day.

Children Policy
Children between ages of 0 – 3 years, sharing with two full paying adults; No Charge
Children between the ages of 3 – 12 years, sharing with two full paying adults; 25% of the per person sharing rate
per night
Children between the ages of 13 – 17 years, sharing with two full paying adults; 50% of the per person sharing rate
per night.
Children aged 18 years and older; the full published rates apply.
Children occupying their own room; the full published rates apply.
Please note that children sharing a room with two adults will be accommodated on a fold out Block mattress.
These are ideally suited for children under the age of 13 years sharing in a room.

Cancellation Policy for The Post House Accommodation in Greyton
Where cancellation occurs:
A minimum charge of 10% is applicable to all refunds
If cancelled 21 – 30 days before arrival, 50% of full rate will be charged
If cancelled 14 – 20 days before arrival, 75% of full rate will be charged
If cancelled 0 – 13 days before arrival, 100% of full rate will be charged
If guest does not show then 100% of the total rate will be charged
Peak Season (1 November to 1 February) No deposits will be refunded unless we re-let the room for the same period.
